AIOI Hosts State Representative Margaret Croke
Last Tuesday, Agudath Israel of Illinois hosted State Representative Margaret Croke, candidate for Illinois Comptroller.
The afternoon began with a lunch meeting with local community leaders, followed by a question-and-answer session on issues of importance to the community, including antisemitism, education funding and the new Federal Tax Credit Scholarship (FSTC) program, and security funding for small businesses. Rep. Croke then visited Joan Dachs Bais Yaakov, and had the opportunity to interact with some students and staff there. “We appreciated Representative Croke taking the time to meet with our community and engage in a thoughtful discussion on the issues that matter most to our families,” shared Rabbi Shlomo Soroka, director of government affairs at Agudath Israel of Illinois.
