Maot Chitim Distribution

This past Sunday, Agudath Israel of Illinois and Maot Chitim Chicago continued their semi-annual partnership with Maot Chitim of Greater Chicago to provide local families with essential food and Yom Tov supplies.

Nearly 650 families received packages with a retail value of $300–$500, including wine, chicken, eggs, aluminum pans, nice plates for Yom Tov and more, all at no cost to the recipients.

Even with the 20-30 mph winds and 20 degree temperature, the AIOI team of staff and volunteers worked with incredible efficiency to keep the cars moving.

Agudath Israel of Illinois expresses its deep gratitude to Mrs. Joellyn Stoliar and the Board of Maot Chitim Chicago for enabling this vital program. Special thanks toMs. Kate Kramer and Mrs. Bina Levin for their leadership in planning and execution, as well as to Mr. Tzvi Yaakov Pike for overseeing logistics. Appreciation is also extended to the many community volunteers, young and old, and especially to the dedicated girls of BYHSC, who spent the entire day on-site processing every order.
